Lyrics:

Childlike Faith In Childhood’s End
Existence is a stage on which we pass, a
sleep-walk trick for mind and heart:
it’s hopeless, I know,
but onward I must go
and try to make a start
at seeing something more than day-to-day
survival chased by final death.

If I believed this the sum
of the life to which we’ve come
I wouldn’t waste my breath.
Somehow, there must be more.
There was a time when more was felt than
known, but now, entrenched inside my sett,
in light more mundane, thought rattles
round my brain; we live, we die… and yet?

In the beginning there was order and
destiny but now that path has reached the
border and on our knees is no way to face
the future, whatever it be.
Though the forces which hold us in place
last through eons in unruffled grace
we, too, wear the face of creation

As anti-matter sucks and pulses
periodically the bud unfolds, the bloom
is dead, all space is living history.

It seems as though time must betray us,
yet we’re alive and though I see no God to save us still we
survive through the centuries of progress
which don’t get us very far.

And though dark is the highway
and the peak’s distance breaks my heart,
for I never shall see it, still I play my part,
believing that what waits for us is the
cosmos compared to the dust of the
past…

in the death of mere humans life shall
start!

  1. Beautiful and melodic notes penetrate my soul lifting it far into the heights of paradise. Your music always has the unique ability to unlock the doors of my heart giving it freedom to soar. Thank you for sharing this love woven piece.

  2. I played your beautiful music while I read the lyrics.. such poignant words you shared..
Your music swept me through my own childhood oh how we wish to re-capture those care-free days when we had not a worry ( if you were lucky ) and bounce with energy..

” It seems as though time must betray us,
yet we’re alive and though I see no God to save us still we
survive through the centuries of progress
which don’t get us very far.”….

And this sentence also got my attention

    “As anti-matter sucks and pulses
periodically the bud unfolds, the bloom
is dead, all space is living history.”….

Earth rejuvenates and there is always a time for sleeping and a time for waking….. I think we came at this important stage of our Earth’s evolution to waken hearts… And Mino your music touches people’s hearts my friend…

    Beautiful 🙂
    Sue

  5. Another beautiful piece of a dream from Mihran’s factory! I can describe it any different… a dream which can be dreamed in so many ways depending on the situation we are in. Perhaps a little melancholic at the lower violin part, but very comforting and touching when the piano takes over… wow!!!

  6. So soft and delicate music. Listening to music makes me feel like I was in a dream. A dream of a child-adolescent who is cheerful, but also reflects on the life and love.

    I loved my dear friend!.

  7. OMG! As soon as the piano came in, tears came to my and I became lost in my own thoughts again.
You are well and truly gifted, my friend and your band.

  8. Such gorgeous, soothing music and poignant lyrics, Mino…this is music that stops you from doing anything else because of its spell. Superb and beautiful…

  9. Thank you for the music and poem!

And though dark is the highway
and the peak’s distance breaks my heart,
for I never shall see it, still I play my part,
believing that what waits for us is the
cosmos compared to the dust of the
    past…

Music will definitely continue through the Universes and the Worlds. Music never dies.

Thank you again for sharing your gift.
