How plans change in the blink of an eye.  Forever doesn’t quite mean as much when your forever is taken from you.  Memories haunt your dreams and places spark memories. 

There is nowhere to hide from the pain.  The hurt eventually fades but the heartache will linger forever.  Life moves on and loves come again but your forever was changed, and that can never be taken back.

I've asked "why" so many times. As time passes, the "whys" have become the reason that I am who I am today. In what I have been overcoming, I am becoming. The struggles that I have had from the least to the most heart-breaking have all been lines written in the book of my life. I have so much to share. I hope to be an encouragement to those who are going through their own struggles. That my space will be a place that brings peace of spirit and maybe a smile. At the least, I hope to touch your heart. I share because my heart longs to give hope to others, to show that even in the hardest places, there is a door waiting to be opened and beauty waiting to be found.

  6. Lucid Gypsy – Lucid Gypsy is mum to two grown up kids and Mma to 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson. How did that happen, surely I'm not grown up enough? I love writing – lazy poetry and quite edgy fiction, one day I'll have time to write more and think about it less. In an ideal world, I'd be travelling a lot, but meanwhile I'll go anywhere I can whenever I can. What I'm best at is counselling; I’ve been privileged to work with many special people. I am now 65 this year (2017) and enjoy taking photographs, incorporating stories or poetry on my blog. I have many old posts which are informative and written like essays. I have several love stories collected from family and friends. Even strangers spill their stories, since I am a grown version of the girl next door. I have been trying to live a healthy lifestyle with better food selections and active hiking and walking. I have written four children's books and illustrated them. They are not published but a battered women's shelter used one about neglect and abuse for their children's program and a 4H group used my "Kissing a Bunny is like saying a Prayer" as a coloring book.
