Bring me the sunset in a cup,
Reckon the morning’s flagons up
And say how many Dew,
Tell me how far the morning leaps—
Tell me what time the weaver sleeps
Who spun the breadth of blue!

Write me how many notes there be
In the new Robin’s ecstasy
Among astonished boughs—
How many trips the Tortoise makes—
How many cups the Bee partakes,
The Debauchee of Dews!

Also, who laid the Rainbow’s piers,
Also, who leads the docile spheres
By withes of supple blue?
Whose fingers string the stalactite—
Who counts the wampum of the night
To see that none is due?

Who built this little Alban House
And shut the windows down so close
My spirit cannot see?
Who’ll let me out some gala day
With implements to fly away,
Passing Pomposity?

  9. athenenoelle – Earth – I have been a performer all of my life in every arena, from Ballet to Opera, to acting in plays and musicals. Being a naturally shy person though, now I want to write and analyze life and people, and find ways of interpreting and expressing the beauty and the madness I see all around me. The original idea was to just blog about my dreams, but I've decided to encompass the concept of dreaming through life; a sort of modern "Twilight Zone" if you will. However, I am more interested in finding the odd in the mundane, than in stumbling into the supernatural or the extraterrestrial. I find us, as a human race, interesting enough.

Last count there were 1,110,870 internet views and visits. 125,268 wordpress comments and growing. Thank you & join us! I retired early after 27 years as a psychotherapist/mental health director (Cindy Barton LCSW) and moved to the outer limits of no-wheres-ville to a home I call "The Holler." My closest neighbors are coyotes (packs and packs of them and they are HUNGRY), rattlers (lots and lots of them and they are MEAN), and free range cows/bulls (the bulls aren't too friendly either!) Forget cell phones. They don't work out here. Forget GPS, it misdirects. It's best not to wander too much out here, the people (and their dogs) are kinda twitchy. To reach The Holler you turn right at the reeking chicken farm, down a bunch of pot-holed semi-streets/dirt roads, past the abandoned refrigerators and occupied old RV’s and then things get kinda dicey. My friends usual reaction to the trip to The Holler is, “You’ve got to be kidding!” Or, “Next time let’s meet half way.” This is our little bit of heavenly Appalachia right here in rural California. I blog about traveling, photography, Holler happenings, and anything else that strikes my fancy. Stop by the blog and take a peek. It’s safe. I promise. I'm in the middle of writing my 3rd novel "Dracul" (Fantasy for YA/Adult). Obviously I love reading and writing, but I also love traveling, animals, nature, hiking, kayaking, watching basketball, good movies, UFC, cooking, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
