You, who crown your saints and dispense eternal abundance, grant peace to your servants who have fallen asleep when you return in judgment. Be our guide in the field of your holy and benevolent will. And make us worthy to give you thanks and to glorify your name. Amen.

This Thursday, as we remember the many blessings in our lives, let us also remember those who, a century ago, gave their lives in the name of our Lord.

  3. Let's CUT the Crap! – Canada – I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

  11. bkpyett – Pearcedale, Victoria, Australia – Barbara Pyett has had three children's books published: Lily's Wish, Hats and Forever Bear. Her most recent collection of poetry was published November '22, called 'Enduring Threads.' This is a book of sestinas and she is consumed in writing the next. Her portrait was painted by her husband, Christopher, who is painting Pearcedale people and those who call in. These are being shown next year in an exhibition. Unfortunately the portrait doesn't want to down load, shall try again next time.

  13. I was not so brutally aware of the century old annihilation, and just did some research. People tend to focus on just a few human atrocities, and forget what evil does to the rest of humanity. May God’s mercy continue on this country, and may we open our eyes to our blessings, come to the Lord with our gratitude in the good times, so that we (humanity) can release our need for suffering to bring us to our Eternal Love.
