Just wanted to let you know that I was  nominated by Tania Maria for the One Lovely Blog Award.

I am honored and humbled Tania Maria  to receive and accept your award.

The main reason for my accepting my own nomination was to recognize some of the very lovely souls and blogs out there, and share them with others. I completely understand if you don’t resonate with following the guidelines, and/or don’t have the time to do so.

As a political immigrant, it took me a long time to master the English language and to come to terms that I can never see my family again. "THE PARTING FROM MY FAMILY WAS THE BEGINNING OF A FRIENDSHIP THAN THE END OF OUR FRIDAYS!" My autobiography, "THE RAIN STOPS IN TEXAS" was published in 1997 by Eakin Press. It can be found in Amazon. As Ernest Hemingway says, write about something you know, most of my novels are about cultural difference of the old and new and American style of living compare to my home country. My poetry are in all forms. I write as they come to me. My first draft is always my last draft. "THIS IS MY WORLD, WELCOME!" "THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!"

  2. Let's CUT the Crap! – Canada – I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

  16. Donna Brown Bowles – USA – I was born in Buffalo New York. Moved to California when I was eight. Traveled a bit through the United States. Chicago Illinois, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Los Vegas, Carson City, & Reno Navada, Utah, Kansas City, South. ..just to name a few.:○] Out side of the United States, I traveled the Canadian Highway four times..to & from Alaska, Traveled to Mexico to shop a few times and lived in Yokosuka Japan for a year. Raised my children in Alaska, and I now reside on earth in a world that's on fire. The only way that I have found to quench the flames is through my expression of poetry, photography, painting, etc... True serenity is finding peace in the midst of the storm. May God have mercy on us all... In Jesus Name, amen. To be continued...
