I am so Happy today, because on this day three years ago i drank my last beer, woot woot so awesome.I cant believe it has been three years, I never thought i could go longer than 9 months for a pregnancy.
On this day 3 years ago Darrell was considering not marrying me, because he came home and i was drunk and our kids were with me. Everyone told him to leave me alone, they said she will never change, and our wedding was supposed to be in three days. Thank God he didnt listen to everyone else cause i did change, BAMM WHAT Lol.
I wish i could get the word out to every addict and alcoholic in the world, that life is so much better when you’re clean. It has been 3 years since i drank any alcohol, and it has been more than 3 years…

Grilled Veggie Kabobs

Nothing says summer like a BBQ! The grill isn’t just for meat, vegetables taste amazing grilled.

What You Need: 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar

– 3 garlic cloves

– 2 tablespoons of chopped rosemary

– 2 tablespoons of minced thyme

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 2 bell peppers cut into 1″ chunks

– Pint of cherry tomatoes

– 2 (one green one yellow if possible) zucchini, cut into rounds 1″ thick

– 1 red onion cut into large chunks

Soak bamboo skewers for 30 minutes in water. Combine balsamic vinegar, garlic, rosemary, thyme and salt and pepper. Assemble the skewers; try to switch up the colours to make them pretty 🙂 Brush the “sauce” over the kabobs and place on the grill. Brush with sauce and turn every 4 minutes for about 12-15 minutes, kabobs will start to char and veggies will be tender.

FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil celebrated in the Netherlands in the form of the Orange Fever (Dutch: de oranjekoorts). It is mainly to support the Dutch National Football Team – sometimes being called as Oranje or The Flying Dutchmen.  A dear friend who has been living in the Netherlands longer than I do, has posted interesting articles on Orange Fever in the Netherlands each time the Dutch football team moves further to the next level of the competition: Chez Lorraine’s Orange Fever Part 1, Orange Fever Part 2, Orange Fever Part 3. Her posts are interesting to read, they are especially on the escalating orange fever whenever the Dutch Team won a match.

Quiet Stillness.

Gray sky.

Slight wind.

Thoughts project to a time when life was harder.

A time when the path was lost.

When the leader was not evident.

I am happy that those days are gone.



Melted away.

The truly worthless events they were.

Well – not exactly worthless.

It has all been a journey.

I am grateful for every last destination along the way.

A small raindrop.

No worry.

I am sitting under an umbrella.

The same umbrella that allowed me to weather every storm along the way.





No pain.

I can turn off the switch that allows me to feel it.

Go ahead –

Odds are if you aren’t growing zucchini you probably have a neighbor, friend, or family member that is pushing them on you, or leaving them on your door step (I am totally guilty of this).

This is one of my favourite ways to eat zucchini! Totally not my recipe so let’s thank minimalist baker for this one.
