The Light That Remained

The sea was calm and peaceful, its gentle waves carrying the steamship across the water as though time itself had slowed. I sat alone in a quiet corner, absorbed in the day’s newspapers, surrounded only by the sound of the sea and the whisper of the breeze.

Then, I heard footsteps climbing the stairs.

I lifted my eyes.

A beautiful Armenian woman appeared tall, graceful, and elegant. She walked with quiet confidence, passed by me, and took a seat directly across from where I was sitting.

For a brief moment, everything around me seemed to disappear.

She seemed almost heavenly, like a radiant light descending from the skies, filling the air with beauty, warmth, and an indescribable sense of peace. Her presence carried a quiet fragrance of hope, awakening emotions that words could scarcely describe.

For reasons I could never explain, I lowered my eyes and returned to my newspaper.

But my heart refused to follow.

The pages before me had become meaningless. My thoughts drifted back to the mysterious stranger sitting across from me, and an unspoken feeling lingered in the silence between us.

Then the sailor approached and gently announced:

“We have arrived.”

I looked up once again.

She was gone.

The seat across from me was empty.

Yet somehow, it did not feel empty at all.

It was as though her presence had remained, leaving behind an invisible light that continued to illuminate the quiet deck. The sea was still peaceful, the evening just as serene, but something within me had changed forever.

Some encounters last only a few moments.

Some people never speak a single word.

Yet they leave behind memories that outlive time itself.

Perhaps love does not always begin with conversation.

Sometimes it begins with a glance.

Sometimes it lives forever in silence.

And sometimes, like a heavenly light, it appears only for an instant yet continues to illuminate the heart long after it has disappeared.

There are moments we never truly possess, yet they remain with us forever.

The Melody of My Heart

You are the melody
that stirs my soul,
the poetry
my heart forever embraces.

Your voice is a gentle breeze
that softly caresses my spirit;
your gaze, a living fire
that burns within my heart.

With every heartbeat,
my love for you grows deeper.
With every kiss,
my soul is captivated,
lost in the endless beauty
of your love.

For you are the song
my heart will never stop singing,
the dream I never wish to awaken from,
and the love that gives meaning
to every moment of my life.

Because of Your Eyes

Because of your eyes, your eyes, your eyes,
My eyes remain open all night long.

Because of your fingers, your fingers, your fingers,
My fingers long to knead the light.

Because of having you this way, yet not truly having you,
I have lost the pride I once carried as a victor.

Because of your wings, your open wings, your gentle wings,
My eyes, my eyes see waterfalls.

Because of your laughter, your laughter, your laughter,
My own laughter has resigned from its place.

Because of having you this way, yet not truly having you,
I have lost the pride I once carried as a victor.

Because of your walk, your walk, your walk,
I have become a watchman, alert to every sound.

Because of your eyes, your eyes, your eyes,
My eyes remain open all night long.

Because of having you this way, yet not truly having you,
I have lost the pride I once carried as a victor.

Because of your eyes, your eyes.

Come to Me at Night: A Love Written in Silence

Come to me at night,
When the city sleeps and the lights fade away.
I will come to you with roses, my heart in my hands,
With no barriers between us, as the wind sings for us,
And the moon guards our dreams.

Come to me at night,
I will come to you with roses,
I will whisper the words of my heart—
With true love and hidden hopes.

Come to me at night,
Let me hear your footsteps in the streets,
I will come to you with roses,
Dreaming of holding you close.

In your eyes, I find an entire world,
A place where I always discover you.
Step by step, I move closer,
And lose myself in your light.

If the night grows long,
Our love will burn brighter like the stars.
And if the world falls silent for a moment,
Our hearts will speak.

Together, I will come to you at night,
With roses in my hands,
And I will tell you the truth of my heart—
With quiet love and hidden hopes.

Come to me at night,
I will come to you with roses.

I love you

I love you,
though your name poisons
my tongue—a toxic echo lost
from my alphabet

Your lips will moan verses
down my spine, your fingers trace
plaintive poems in my skin

I’ll breathe wilted romances on your
chest, my hair grazing your face,
your kiss staining sorrow
in my gaze

(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life

Now I’ve had the time of my life
No, I never felt like this before
Yes I swear, it’s the truth
And I owe it all to you
‘Cause I’ve had the time of my life
And I owe it all to you
romance
I’ve been waiting for so long
Now I’ve finally found someone
To stand by me
We saw the writing on the wall
As we felt this magical fantasy
Now with passion in our eyes
There’s no way we could disguise it secretly
So we take each other’s hand
‘Cause we seem to understand
The urgency
Just remember
You’re the one thing
I can’t get enough of
So I’ll tell you something
This could be love because
I’ve had the time of my life
No, I never felt this way before
Yes, I swear, it’s the truth
And I owe it all to you
Hey, baby
With my body and soul
I want you more than you’ll ever know
So we’ll just let it go
Don’t be afraid to lose control, no
Yes, I know what’s on your mind
When you say, “Stay with me tonight” (stay with me)
Just remember
You’re the one thing
I can’t get enough of
So I’ll tell you something
This could be love because
I’ve had the time of my life
No, I never felt this way before
Yes, I swear, it’s the truth
And I owe it all to you
‘Cause I’ve had the time of my life
And I’ve searched though every open door
‘Til I found the truth
And I owe it all to you
Now I’ve had the time of my life
No, I never felt this way before
Yes, I swear, it’s the truth
And I owe it all to you
I’ve had the time of my life
No, I never felt this way before
Yes, I swear, it’s the truth
And I owe it all to you
.
‘Cause I’ve had the time of my life (the time of my life)
And I’ve searched though every open door
‘Til I found the truth
And I owe it all to yo

A Tear And A Smile

Mihran Kalaydjian – A Tear And A Smile – Poem by Khalil Gibran

I would not exchange the sorrows of my heart
For the joys of the multitude.
And I would not have the tears that sadness makes
To flow from my every part turn into laughter.

I would that my life remain a tear and a smile.

A tear to purify my heart and give me understanding
Of life’s secrets and hidden things.
A smile to draw me nigh to the sons of my kind and
To be a symbol of my glorification of the gods.

A tear to unite me with those of broken heart;
A smile to be a sign of my joy in existence.

I would rather that I died in yearning and longing than that I live Weary and despairing.

I want the hunger for love and beauty to be in the
Depths of my spirit, for I have seen those who are
Satisfied the most wretched of people.
I have heard the sigh of those in yearning and Longing, and it is sweeter than the sweetest melody.

With evening’s coming the flower folds her petals
And sleeps, embracingher longing.
At morning’s approach she opens her lips to meet
The sun’s kiss.

The life of a flower is longing and fulfilment.
A tear and a smile.

The waters of the sea become vapor and rise and come
Together and area cloud.

And the cloud floats above the hills and valleys
Until it meets the gentle breeze, then falls weeping
To the fields and joins with brooks and rivers to Return to the sea, its home.

The life of clouds is a parting and a meeting.
A tear and a smile.

And so does the spirit become separated from
The greater spirit to move in the world of matter
And pass as a cloud over the mountain of sorrow
And the plains of joy to meet the breeze of death
And return whence it came.

To the ocean of Love and Beauty—-to God.

Love Is…

Love is…

Love is feeling cold in the back of vans

Love is a fanclub with only two fans

Love is walking holding paintstained hands

Love is.

Love is fish and chips on winter nights

Love is blankets full of strange delights

Love is when you don’t put out the light

Love is

Love is the presents in Christmas shops

Love is when you’re feeling Top of the Pops

Love is what happens when the music stops

Love is

Love is white panties lying all forlorn

Love is pink nightdresses still slightly warm

Love is when you have to leave at dawn

Love is

Love is you and love is me

Love is prison and love is free

Love’s what’s there when you are away from me

Love is…

Why I Love You

You give to me hope
And help me to cope
When life pulls me down
You bring me around

You teach me to care
And help me to share
You make me honest
With kindness the best

From you I learned love
With grace from above
It’s for you I live
And I want to give

You are the reason
That fills each season
When I hear love I think of you
You are my world and best friend too

I love you because you are so kind, thoughtful and caring
I love you because you are so pleasant, lovely and sharing

You made me the man I am
Thank you

Besame Mucho

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
As if tonight were the last time
Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
For I’m scared to lose you, to lose you afterwards

I want to feel you very close, see myself in your eyes, see you near me
Think that maybe tomorrow I’ll already be far, very far away from you
