Call me, just because
without a reason.
Ask me gently,
“How are you, my love?”
In a world that never stops rushing,
simple words of kindness
have become too rare.
We spend our lives chasing tomorrow,
sometimes forgetting what matters most:
the people we love.
Call me, just because
simply so I can hear your familiar voice.
Sometimes one kind word,
spoken from the heart,
can lift a spirit
and remind someone they are not alone.
Life passes quickly,
and yesterday never returns.
So cherish your family.
Hold your loved ones close.
Say “I love you” more often.
Don’t wait for a birthday,
a holiday,
or a special occasion.
Call me… just because.
A poignant message interlaced in a lovely poem. 😁
I agree my friend. The phones we need and we shall miss. A poem for you.
” I called my father every Friday at 8 pm. We talked. I do miss our talks.
I called dear grandmother as often as I could. Now I wish to hear her voice.
I told my children, I told my grandchildren and friend.
A phone call. I would love.”
Beautifully written. I really enjoyed how clearly you expressed your feelings!
We really do need to appreciate and love our loved ones and not take them for granted
